Robert B. Noggle, Attorney

Robert Noggle’s experience both in practicing law and business management has afforded him the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients. These include real estate investors, lenders, title companies, developers, property managers and more; foreign investors in US real estate, and; business owners concerning corporate governance, purchase and sales, loans, and vendor and customer contracts.

His background includes serving as in-house counsel for two commercial asset-based lenders as well as serving as COO of one; working for several title companies developing 1031 tax deferred exchange clients, and; opening his own law office in 2010 and assisting international and local real estate investors and corporate clients with real estate transactions including HOAs, 1031 tax deferred exchanges, FIRPTA and EB-5.

He is a co-author of a Kindle book: FIRPTA: A Guide to Working with Foreign Clients. He is a frequent speaker on real estate topics including 1031 tax deferred exchanges, FIRPTA, and foreclosures. His audiences have included Realtors, commercial brokers, escrow officers, and real estate investors. He has been a co-host of several different radio talk shows about real estate. In addition, he has been an instructor teaching communication skills and management at Mt. Hood Community College and Portland Community College in Oregon.

Robert was Secretary for the Portland Committee on Foreign Relations, local affiliate of the Council on Foreign Relations. For seven years he arranged for and hosted the monthly speakers including ambassadors and high-profile journalists such as Nicolas Kristoff, CIA officers and authors and attended the annual conference at the Council in NYC.
Robert graduated from the University of Oregon where he studied Chinese and majored in Asian history. He studied Japanese language and history at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan.
He earned his JD at Lewis and Clark. He graduated from Iolani School in Honolulu, the alma mater of Sun Yat-sen, the father of the Chinese Republic.
Robert has lived on both US coasts, Hawaii, Korea and Japan.
